Book Review: Overwatch Anthology 1

For the purposes of full disclosure, I am not an Overwatch expert. Honestly the reason I picked this up is because my favorite Let’s Play Youtube channel, Funhaus, has a whole series on this game and it looks incredibly fun. I love to watch people play this on YouTube so I thought “what the hell” and gave it a read.

This book gives a basic character introduction to what I believe to be the first group of characters originally released for the game (feel free to correct me on this). It’s a nice, concise introduction to several people at once, and as the stories go on, you see the ways in which some of their lives weave together. I really enjoyed reading this and the small snippets of backstory made me more interested in going back to watch some playthroughs now that I had the knowledge. The art was beautiful as well and I really enjoyed how some of the style changed depending on the character being introduced. I think Junkrat is my favorite thus far.

I would gladly and happily read the next anthology about some more of the characters not included here, and I look forward to it!
