It’s about NARWHALS! Of course it’s good!

In the first Narwhal and Jelly book, Narwhal teaches Jelly, his new friend, about all the important things in life like friends and waffles and imagination! Neither believes the other is real at first but they warm up to each other quickly and even work together to form a pod! Then Narwhal shows Jelly his favorite book, which is all blank pages, and teaches him how to be creative and use his imagination. What an awesome pal.

In Super Narwhal and Jelly Jolt, Narwhal decides he is going to become a super hero, but he can’t figure out what his power is! Jelly decides to become Jelly Jolt and the two of them have superhero adventures, including getting a lost star back up into the sky. They also learn about friendship and jealousy when the crab teases Jelly for his superhero name.

In the third, Narwhal has a newfound love of peanut butter. In fact he loves peanut butter so much, he decides to call himself Peanut Butter. Jelly thinks maybe he’s taking it all a bit far, in so much that Narwhal becomes the size of a peanut because of all the peanut butter he’s eating, but that just means his other favorite food, waffles, are even bigger now!

Narwhal’s Otter Friend is basically what it seems like, Narwhal makes friends with a new otter in town. It makes Jelly super jealous so he tries to look for other friends, but everyone is already hanging out with other people. Of course Narwhal isn’t trying to exclude Jelly and they have a nice interaction about being best friends. It’s very sweet. There’s dancing penguins involved!

I love the Narwhal and Jelly stories! Narwhal and Jelly are silly, fun stories that kids love. Seriously a narwhal who loves waffles? How can you go wrong?
