Do you like The Try Guys? You’ll like this.
I straight up love the Try Guys. I didn’t discover them until they launched their own channel, but ever since then I have consumed all the content they’ve released. The four guys are wonderful people, super weird and very inspirational for me, so I knew I’d probably like this book.
Basically if you like The Try Guys, you’ll enjoy this I think. A lot of it is things that we, intense fans of theirs, already know, and I think that’s fine! Let’s be real; part of The Try Guys making their own channel was to expand to different markets, and I think this book is a great step in the right direction. I work at a library and although I’m the one who requested the book be purchased, it’s already been checked out 10 times and at least two of those were older gentlemen I am 100% sure have never heard of the Try Guys. It’s basically a supplemental book for those of us that are fans, and a good self help/intro book to people new to the Try Guys.
The one thing I have to say about this book is man, these four really rely on the women in their lives. From girlfriends and wives to moms and family, the Try Guys would be NOTHING without the Try women. Fuck yeah ladies, you do so much.
I did enjoy this book because it didn’t feel “literary” in a way. Often with these YouTube and social media celebrity books, you can tell the exact point in which the personality stopped writing and a ghostwriter took over. With this book however, I felt like each section really read as the four guys speak, and it gave a nice authenticity to it as someone who knows a lot of their style.
This book is fun and basically what you’d expect from The Try Guys. Give it a shot!
