God I love these messy weirdos

Wotakoi is my go-to manga to re-read when I’m sad or when I need some more adult characters to invest in, and this volume did not disappoint!

I love our main characters, but this volume has a lot of focus on our two side couples which was lovely. I am a total sucker for Taro and Hanako and I deeply love their relationship and love story. I won’t spoil what happens in this volume but it’s SO CUTE and also real to life. The ups and downs they have are reminiscent of relationships I’ve had, and I enjoy that during the push and pull of their arguments they’re still able to communicate in order to get over it once they’ve cooled off. A lot of this volume really focuses on them and as they are sorta the side comic relief to the series it was nice to see them in a more serious light.

The other couple we get a lot of information on in this volume is Ko and Naoya. Their budding friendship into crush situation is adorable to read about and I love how Ko is slowly coming out of her shell more and more and making friends with Naoya’s core group. She also gets some girl time with Hanako and Narumi which is so exciting to see because I would love for those characters to get together more often. I honestly love this series, it’s such a comfort read for me and I can’t wait to get more of it.
