A quick, silly collection.
Do you need a quick and easy humorous read? Then this is the collection for you. The text is written by Steve Martin, aka my first ever crush (Did the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors not change your life? Just me? Oh, okay.), and each cartoon is a simple take on modern life with a humorous bent. Harry Bliss does the artwork to accompany it, and the whole book feels very much like cartoons from The New Yorker. They’re light, snort-funny comics, nothing too deep, which is what I needed as a palette cleanser between longer book club titles. Overall a fun read.

I started a book by Steve Martin a while back and didn’t really like it, but the cover art of this one definitely grabs my attention. Since it’s a quick and easy read maybe I’ll give it a try sometime. 🙂 Nice review.
