This is precisely the manga that the title describes.
Nomoto works as an office worker and has a love for cooking. She’s tried to make larger meals and bring them into the office to be kind, but unsurprisingly, men in her office started to be weird about it, insisting she was looking for a husband. Because of this, Nomoto yearns to make larger meals to practice but doesn’t want the food to go to waste. One day in her apartment elevator, she meets her neighbor Kasuga, who is a larger, more muscular woman. She and Kasuga have a polite but awkward series of interactions until Nomoto finally bites the bullet and offers Kasuga some of the food she’s made.
The two quickly begin a fast friendship where Nomoto gets to take Kasuga all her extra food, and Kasuga gets to eat delicious food and pay Nomoto for the supplies. This is precisely as basic as you think and oddly enjoyable. I think there will be a romance between the two eventually, but if not, this is a great representation of how awkward it is to make friends as an adult woman. Also, this book made me hungry.
