Sexy but felt slow

The Nanny is a contemporary romance centered around Cassie Evans, a woman down on her luck and losing her job and apartment. To make some quick cash until she can get another job, she reinstates her old Only Fans account to garner some cash flow, hopefully. While doing her Only Fans job, she gets hired by Aiden Reid to be the nanny for his daughter, Sophie. Aiden is hot, talented, has a job, and has a gorgeous home that Cassie can move into, solving her housing issue. He hires her quickly, and the three begin to live in harmony.

Of course, Cassie is unaware that Aiden used to be a  top subscriber of her Only Fans, and Aiden has no idea that she is currently utilizing it. She struggles to tell him, worried that she will lose everything if he reacts the wrong way. Meanwhile, Aiden struggles with his attraction to Cassie, not knowing she is the Only Fans girl of his dreams. Of course, sparks fly, and the two begin a steamy relationship, with some sneaking around to keep Sophie unaware.

The Nanny is a solid contemporary romance that hits all the expected beats. Sophie is an adorable child and one of the book’s best parts, as is Cassie’s best friend, Wanda. The sex scenes are excellent and smutty, which is what I wanted, honestly, but the rest is a bit boring for me. The issues in their relationship feel a bit overdramatic, and they are resolved very quickly. Hence, the latter half of the novel feels a lot like a series of sex scenes with a very light thread of plot and characterization. This is a fun beach read as long as you aren’t expecting anything super compelling.
