As if I would ever give this book anything other than 5 stars. I am a BTS stan first and a human being second, let’s be real.

I discovered BTS in early 2018, and I have been a huge fan of them ever since, going so far as to fly to LA just to see them in concert after their world tour was cancelled because of the pandemic. I find their music to be uplifting, fun, and optimistic, which was exactly what I needed at that point in my life. The pandemic had me more depressed than anything, and BTS’s music was able to give me a lot of joyful moments despite everything, so they’re always going to be at the top of my list.

This book was released on the date of their 10-year anniversary as a band, which is wild to think about! Most people think they were some type of overnight sensation, which I can understand in some aspects, as America is pretty sheltered when it comes to music from other countries. That being said, a ten-year career is a great point at which to write a memoir, which is basically what this book ends up being. It’s a collection of experiences and a timeline of the band, interspersed with short writings and essays from the band members. Many moments we are aware of as fans are explained in context by the band members, which sheds more light on who they are as individuals. I absolutely adored this, and it is a must-read for any BTS fan!
