Still adorable
The Savior’s Book Cafe Story in Another World is a super fun manga series for any woman older than high school who loves to daydream about a different existence.
Tsukina was named as the Savior, a woman teleported from her world to another to help save it. However, Tsukina prefers to use her powers to run a small café and bookstore in the city, rather than actively fight. In volumes 2 and 3, she begins to expand upon her relationship with Il. Il is pretty high up in the military and is a nice guy who tries to sacrifice himself to save people and his realm, but he is also the most boring guy ever. He’s the perfect love interest in a ‘perfect’ world because he has basically no character traits. While I enjoy a good romance, he and Tsukina don’t feel like they have any depth or chemistry, even when Tsukina finally reveals her power.
As the volumes go on, we’re introduced to another Savior, Youta. Youta is trying his best to learn as he grows into his role, and turns to Tsukina often for guidance. He has some spark to him and clearly has a crush on Tsukina, so I am interested to see where that goes. Il and Tsukina seem to be the endgame, but at this point they might switch it up as Youta has characteristics and has already shown growth as a character in one volume.
