Book Review: Wotakoi – Love is Hard for Otaku (Volume 3)

Volume 3 of the popular manga series (now an anime!)

From the publisher: “A tall, quiet gamer boy and a geeky girl whose life revolves around yaoi manga are old friends, but when they start working in the same office, they decide to date. It’s a relationship of convenience at first, but could it become something more?”

I love this series. It’s the definition of a slow build romance and I am here for it. The budding friendship/relationship between Ko and Naoya is a favorite of mine. They’re adorable and Naoya must be protected at all costs. Seeing Ko slowly begin to hang out with the group and socialize with them is great, and I look forward to reading more about them.

The ever continuing adventures of Narumi and Hirotaka being awkward and adorable is consistently fun, and in this volume we get to see them attend a work trip together with Kabakura leading. Hanako also finally gets Narumi to cosplay with her, and we gain more insight into the work relationship of our four main characters.

This whole series is just cute. It’s simple and enjoyable and fluff and I all about it. At the time of writing this, I’ve only just discovered there is an anime version available on Amazon Prime so I guess I know what I’m watching this weekend!
