Weird as hell and I loved it.
In terms of weird manga I have read lately, this one has a plot that’s pretty out there. And unsurprisingly, I totally loved it.
Inusaki is a pretty chill guy known around town as being a jack-of-all trades. He wants to be a private detective but he lacks any special skill for detecting. Instead, he has a skill no one knows about; he can communicate with birds. He keeps meeting up with the same crow over and over and the two express a lot to one another. Insuaki loves the voice of Kuro the crow but can’t place why it sounds so familiar. Inusaki has no idea that the crow also happens to be his landlord’s son (and Insuaki’s crush) Mitsuru.
In terms of plot ideas, this one is odd as hell, but it’s executed so well you as a reader are able to just go with it. It’s charming, cute and funny and both of our love interests are interesting. This is only the first volume so it’s mostly just set-up and introduction to our characters, so I’m intrigued to find out where the author plans on going with this.
